This service provides a bespoke, room‑by‑room heat loss calculation for domestic properties to support correct sizing of boilers, heat pumps, radiators, and underfloor heating systems in line with current UK best practice. As part of the survey, your property will be scanned using non‑invasive methods to create an accurate digital floor plan and capture room dimensions, window and door sizes, and key construction details. The building fabric (walls, floors, roofs, and glazing) is assessed in a non‑destructive way to determine insulation levels and overall thermal performance. Using the collected data, a full room‑by‑room design heat loss calculation is carried out, taking into account fabric losses, ventilation and infiltration, and target internal design temperatures for each space. All calculations are completed in accordance with BS EN 12831‑1:2017 (Energy performance of buildings – Method for calculation of the design heat load), the recognised British Standard for domestic heat load assessment in the UK.​ You will receive a clear, property‑specific report showing the heat loss for each room and the overall design heat load for the dwelling, suitable for use in specifying and sizing new or replacement heating systems. The report is structured to support compliance with current UK heating design guidance and industry expectations for detailed, standard‑based heat loss calculations.
